It didn't end up mattering because the long inbound got tipped and the shot on the next play missed, but the Spurs sent out six guys for their last-second possession in Game 6:
Spurs fail game-winning possession with 6 men on floor
Boris Diaw is off-screen throwing a long inbound pass. Manu Ginobili, who thought the Spurs were taking the ball side-out, started out of bounds, then ran into the play when he realized Diaw was inbounding. The pass got tipped and the Spurs dropped to five for their final (missed) shot, so the referees avoided meaningful shame for their oversight. We see you, though, Spurs, you scoundrels.
