Everyone who watches basketball had an eye on ESPN as Paul George went down with a frightening leg injury in the fourth quarter of the USA Basketball Showcase. Among the first to react on Twitter were Kevin Ware and Shaun Livingston, two basketball players who came back from grisly leg injuries of their own:
The whole NBA supports Paul George
Players around the league chimed in with their support and prayers.

— LeBron James (@KingJames) August 2, 2014 An injury like that brings back horrible memories for some players and serves as an awful reminder to others of the constant threat of injury. George has the whole league’s support as he begins what will surely be a long, difficult recovery.
And here’s George himself ... or maybe someone tweeting for him, because it would be pretty impressive if he’s awake and tweeting mere hours after that injury:
Thanks everybody for the love and support.. I'll be ok and be back better than ever!!! Love y'all!! #YoungTrece
