The whole NBA supports Paul George

Players around the league chimed in with their support and prayers.

Everyone who watches basketball had an eye on ESPN as Paul George went down with a frightening leg injury in the fourth quarter of the USA Basketball Showcase. Among the first to react on Twitter were Kevin Ware and Shaun Livingston, two basketball players who came back from grisly leg injuries of their own:

And Joe Theismann, a player whose career ended with a gruesome leg injury, tweeted as well:

Roy Hibbert was dumbfounded to see his Pacers teammate go down:

The Pacers released a statement and GM Kevin Pritchard tweeted after accompanying George to the hospital:

And soon thereafter, George’s USA teammates gave their prayers and support:

George’s former USA teammate and playoff adversary LeBron James reacted immediately after finding out:

An injury like that brings back horrible memories for some players and serves as an awful reminder to others of the constant threat of injury. George has the whole league’s support as he begins what will surely be a long, difficult recovery.
