According to this fun highlight reel at TideSports.com, Nick Saban played quarterback and safety as a senior at Monongah High School in West Virginia. He also played some special teams and, on this occasion, got himself decleated on a kickoff return:

It’s pretty much impossible to confirm that that’s actually Saban in the clip, except for the fact that he looks pretty short and it would be funniest if it’s Nick Saban and the funniest explanation is the correct one.
