Former NFL linebacker Tim Shaw was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year, a fact he announced while doing the Ice Bucket Challenge. As was also reported in that For The Win piece, Shaw had plans to visit Brazil in September with his father and help dig wells so people could have access to clean water. Well, it's September now, and the Shaws are on their way:
