‘GameDay’ sign mocking Alabama literacy misspells ‘Floyd Mayweather’

There’s a lot going on here:

First of all, “College GameDay” is in Oregon. Alabama is playing Florida Atlantic. This is an ... FAU fan? Just a Bama hater?

Second of all, that’s not how you spell Floyd. So is this a joke about spelling within the joke about Mayweather’s spelling? Or was this person thinking of the name “Lloyd” while spelling “Floyd,” thus leading to a mistake? I’m inclined to go with the latter. I think it’s too subtle to be the former.
