A delightful supercut of people crashing their new hoverboards on Christmas
The best part of Christmas 2015 was hoverboard crashes.

On Friday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) officially declared hoverboards, at least in their current form, to be “unsafe,” per Mashable:

What this means is that the U.S. government has new safety standards for hoverboards which have to be followed by manufacturers and sellers, lest they face penalties. The CPSC is also asking them to take hoverboards they have now off the market, until they pass safety certification.
While this news is kind of a bummer, the video above is probably proof that the CPSC is really looking out for us -- although it would’ve helped if they announced this before Christmas 2015. At least we got some funny videos out of it.
So, to the people who bought their loved ones hoverboards for Christmas, then filmed their maiden voyages,
Thank you.
Love,
