Skiers do everything in their power to reduce drag -- equipment, outfits and individual approaches are constantly tweaked for maximum aerodynamics. And then sometimes you get a big-ass gate stuck to you and that doesn’t help at all:

That’s Christof Innerhofer of Italy, who finished fourth -- just .07 seconds off the podium! -- in this World Cup downhill despite wearing what “felt like a parachute” for half the run. Not bad. And he looked really cool!
