Here is something unusual and pretty scary that happened on a flight from Los Angeles to Oregon containing the Oregon State men’s basketball team, the Portland women’s basketball team and one very unlucky woman:
SCORPION ON A PLANE delays Oregon State basketball’s flight

Tough week for Beavs just got tougher. A scorpion just bit woman two rows in front of @waynetinkle. Plane had to go back to LAX. True story.
— Oregon State Hoops (@OregonStateMBB) February 15, 2015 Coach Tinkle was just two rows behind the woman that was stung. Paramedics have just come aboard. pic.twitter.com/BPWQjkoxVi
— Mike Parker (@MEPOSU) February 15, 2015 Always loved the band "Scorpion" growing up!! It took one look at us and went the other direction. Plane from Mexico problems!

Well this is the first time I've been on a plane and someone gets bit by a scorpion......
— Corey Sanders (@CoreyPaige7) February 15, 2015 Scorpion on our plane and now we're delayed ☺️
— Tanner J Sanders (@TannerRanner) February 15, 2015 Ya so there's a scorpion on our plane...
— Dylan Livesay (@DLive_Rifle) February 15, 2015 First and foremost, I hope the passenger is feeling okay and gets free air travel for the rest of her life.
I’d also like to express the opinion that scorpions should not be allowed to ride planes. Scorpions have no good reason to even be taking domestic flights. What, did that scorpion have relatives in Oregon? I really doubt it. No scorpions on planes, period.
The scorpion -- which snuck on in a carry on bag -- didn’t catch the next flight as someone apparently stomped it out.
