The Heat forget how inbounds passes work in crunchtime

The Heat had the ball with 40 seconds to go, down 1 after a Kevin Martin jumper. Then they did this:

This is like the Lamar Odom incident, but way worse. Norris Cole meant to give the ball to Hassan Whiteside so he could inbound it, but did so by passing the ball over the line himself, making the play live. Not sure why Cole was so picky about an uncontested inbound pass, but you can’t just start over out of bounds after that. He was so vehement that Whiteside just went along with it, readily stepping off the court to accept a turnover pass.

The Heat ended up having a chance to win anyway, but Cole missed the game-winning shot. Not ideal!
