Henry Schulman, Giants beat writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, really objected to shoddy field lighting at Giants spring training in Scottsdale Phoenix. He made quite a point of it:
Giants writer mocks poorly lit field until he realizes the joke’s on him

Really dark and overcast at Camelback Ranch. Lights not on and I doubt they'd help. #sfgiants pic.twitter.com/Ff3P56cl3W

I’ve never seen a field so dark for a major-league game, exhibition or otherwise. I’d be afraid to stand in the box and hit. #SFGiants
— Henry Schulman (@hankschulman) March 13, 2015 Pending crappy lights. RT @Simon08says: pending storm!??
— Henry Schulman (@hankschulman) March 13, 2015 Nice 1-2-3 inning for Strickland. At least I think it was Strickland. In this darkness it could have been Carson from "Downton." #SFGiants
— Henry Schulman (@hankschulman) March 13, 2015 But wait ...
Nevermind. We’re looking at the game through tinted windows. Didn’t know that. #doh. #SFGiants
— Henry Schulman (@hankschulman) March 13, 2015 My apologies to the White Sox and Mrs. McCourt, and the entire Cambelback Ranch family. #SFGiants
— Henry Schulman (@hankschulman) March 13, 2015 It’s an honest mistake and a thought process I’ve experienced myself in a car with tinted windows, but ohhhhohohoho man I’m laughing so hard.
