Kennesaw State, home of the Owls, already has a live mascot and a regular, fuzzy mascot. They lacked a robotic, flying mascot ... until now:
Kennesaw State unveils DRONE OWL MASCOT

If you don’t feel like watching five minutes of engineers talking about how they invented flight, here’s a glimpse:
It’s a drone that looks like a flying owl from below. It’ll fly around during breaks in games. Pilots can also move the drone’s head and see through its eyes via goggles while it’s zooming around. It’s really cool!
I interviewed a Kennesaw State alumnus, SB Nation college football editor Jason Kirk, about his school’s new toy:
Hi Jason, thanks for taking the time to talk to SB Nation. What do you think of your alma mater’s new drone mascot? Do you like it?
Thanks for having me, Seth. This is the best website, and I read it every day. I guess I like the drone mascot. Georgia State doesn’t have one and neither does Mercer. Reinhardt dreams of having this technology. To heck with those schools.
Now we just need our live owl mascot, whose dumb name is Sturgis, to battle the drone for Cobb County aerial supremacy.
Wow, thanks Jason! A drone vs. owl dogfight is exactly what I was going to suggest.
