There’s a very good chance Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns goes first overall in the NBA Draft in June. The Dominican league isn’t quite as high on him:

— Leones Basketball (@LeonesBBClub) April 29, 2015 That is Dominican Republic club Leones de Santo Domingo announcing they took Towns SIXTH overall in the draft, behind other Dominican national players like Manhattan’s Emmy Andujar and Florida’s Jon Horford. Towns obviously went so late because teams know there’s no chance he turns down an NBA contract to play in another, much lower-level professional league, but you never know. Maybe someday in the future!
