Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson deserves to win the Powerball lottery so he can open a giraffe ranch called Giraffic Park

Fox Sports did a fun thing asking athletes what they would do if they won the $1.5 billion Powerball lottery. They got a lot of fun and virtuous responses (the Indianapolis Colts’ Matt Overton wants multiple Chick-Fil-A franchises), and they got this from C.J. Wilson of the Los Angeles Angels:

I would buy a ranch and put giraffes on it and call it Giraffic Park.

(He also said charity, so we’re clear.)

Okay so:

1. When I first saw this I was so amazed that I choked.

2. I’m a little disappointed to learn that this is an existing idea, and didn’t just spring out of Wilson’s mind upon inquiry, but:

3. I am proud of and impressed by Wilson for having the courage and the vision to make Giraffic Park a reality when that windfall comes his way. Wilson has my vote for Powerball winner. That’s how this works, right?
