Even during an emotional farewell press conference, Prince Fielder found time to touch Adrian Beltre’s head

Okay, two things going on here: First of all, Prince Fielder announced his retirement from baseball Wednesday. He’s only 32, but just can’t continue to play after neck surgery, and it was a really sad, tearful scene. (Yes, he is quite rich. It was still sad.) Second of all, people touching Adrian Beltre’s head is one of the best things in sports. Beltre HATES it when people touch his head, so naturally his teammates across a couple teams have spent the last decade risking his sometimes violent wrath just to troll him with a head tap. It’s seriously wonderful.

And yes, even one of the most heartbreaking days of his career, Prince Fielder exploited the gravity of the moment to touch Adrian Beltre’s head. Beltre knew he wasn’t allowed to get mad this time. He just had to sit there and take it:
