So after scoring a touchdown with eight seconds left in the fourth quarter and needing just an extra point to tie up the game and send it into overtime, what did Phillip Rivers and Anthony Lynn elect to do?
Go for the win, obviously.
And that’s exactly what happened.
With a huge win on Thursday night, not only did the Chargers capture their first win against the Chiefs since 2013, but also clinched their first playoff birth in five seasons, too.
The Chargers are now 11-3, tied atop the AFC West, and are heading back to the playoffs with a shot at the AFC’s top seed. And, the Bolt Up squad has a new T-shirt to enjoy!
While Rivers put on a masterful performance during the Chargers’ final drive, wide receiver Mike Williams was LA’s star of the night. The second-year receiver scored three touchdowns, capping it off by catching the two-point toss from Rivers that completed the comeback win.
