Murray St. Racers guard Zay Jackson has been suspended for the entire 2012-'13 season, for his role in a vicious altercation in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Zay Jackson has been suspended for the entire 2012-13 season, after pleading guilty to second degree wanton endangerment charges.


Jackson was arrested on second degree assault charges, but the charges were later changed to second degree wanton endangerment charges. Jackson plead guilty, and was sentenced to 30 days in prison.
Surveillance video footage emerged of the altercation, showing Jackson recklessly and intentionally hitting a man with his car in a Wal-Mart parking lot, and continued to drive around the parking lot with the victim still on the hood of Jackson’s car.
The altercation allegedly began when Jackson pushed his shopping cart into Jason Clement’s car. The situation escalated quickly, and resulted in Jackson driving around the parking lot, and eventually hitting Clement with his car.
Jackson averaged 4.9 points per game, 2.3 assists per game and 2.1 rebounds per game for Murray St. in 2011-12.
