Games on the USS Yorktown and USS Bataan were called off because of weather and condensation and even the Syracuse vs. San Diego St. game was postponed from Friday night because of a threat of rain, but they were able to play the game on Sunday without much of a problem. Some players wore long sleeves, but the elements didn’t appear to bother anyone too much.
C.J. Fair and Michael Carter-Williams certainly didn't have any problems being outside as each scored 17 points to lead the Orange. Fair also added 10 rebounds, while Carter-Williams had five steals as Syracuse held San Diego St. to just 27% shooting.
It was a dreadful offensive day for the Aztecs, who couldn't crack the Syracuse zone. They made just one of 18 three-point attempts even leading scorer Jamaal Franklin's 11 points came on 3-for-12 shooting.
