No. 24 Cincinnati vs. MVSU final score: Bearcats win second straight to open season, 102-60

Sean Kilpatrick leads Cincinnati easily past MVSU, 102-60.

Cincinnati Bearcats guard Sean Kilpatrick turned it on in the second half, finishing with 20 points and eight rebounds to help the Bearcats top the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils, 102-60, for Cincinnati's second win to open the 2012-13 season.

The Delta Devils were able to keep it close with the Big East power early, down just nine at the second TV timeout from Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati. But after Cashmere Wright and Jermaine Sanders helped the Bearcats string together 14 straight points late in the period, the Delta Devils could not make up any ground despite MVSU guard Darryl Marshall's 13 points.

Up 20 at half, the Bearcats would never let MVSU back to within any less than 18 points during the second half as they pulled away for good. Wright finished with 11 points and five assists while hitting on three three-pointers. Bearcats forward Justin Jackson grabbed eight rebounds, including one on the offensive glass, in the victory.

Bearcats forward Titus Rubles finished with a team-high five assists off the bench.
