Despite taking only a seven-point advantage into the locker room, the No. 15 Missouri Tigers came alive in the second half on Tuesday night to record a 91-54 blowout win over the Alcorn State Braves.
No. 15 Missouri vs. Alcorn State final score: Pressey, Tigers overwhelm Braves, 91-54
Phil Pressey and the Missouri Tigers picked up their second win of the season on Tuesday over Alcorn State.

The Tigers shot just 38.2 percent as a team, but routinely dominated an undersized Alcorn State front line to post a 54-33 rebounding advantage in the victory. Missouri players also had little trouble creating contact and getting to the foul line on the evening, as nine of Frank Haith’s 10 players who saw the floor attempted at least one of his team’s 44 total free throws.
Player of the year contender Phil Pressey led all scorers with 21 points on 6-of-15 shooting, while new addition Alex Oriakhi chipped in his first double-double in a Missouri uniform with 12 points and 10 rebounds. In just his second game back after a devastating knee injury sidelined him for the entire 2011-12 campaign, Tigers forward Laurence Bowers was once again a key contributor with 14 points, four rebounds and three blocks. Haith's Tigers will next try to stay undefeated on their home floor against the Nicholls State Colonels on Friday.
