The No. 5 Michigan Wolverines earned a trip to New York to play in the NIT Season Tip Off semifinals after rolling past the Cleveland State Vikings, 77-47

The Wolverines took all of the drama out of the game early by jumping out to a big lead over the Vikings in the first half before taking a 42-14 lead to the locker room at the break. Michigan didn’t let up and maintained the big lead throughout the second half to finish off the 30-point win.

Michigan's backcourt duo of Tim Hardaway Jr and Trey Burke led the attack for the Wolverines. Hardaway made a trio of three-point shots and scored a game-high 17 points. Burke added 12 points and dished out seven assists while freshman guard Nik Stauskas made five of five shots from the field to finish with 15 points.

Sophomore forward Anton Grady led the Vikings with 15 points as the Michigan defense held Cleveland State to 30 percent shooting from the field.

Michigan improved their record to 3-0 as they move on to play at Madison Square Garden next week.
