Providence star Vincent Council out 4-5 weeks
Vincent Council is expected to miss a little over a month due to a hamstring injury.

Having already missed Monday’s game against Bryant, Council potentially could miss up to seven more games if the timetable proves to be accurate. That means Providence would face UMass, Fairfield, Holy Cross, Mississippi State, Rhode Island, Colgate and Boston College without the aide of their star guard.
Council averaged 15.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game last season.
Providence had already been ranked last in the Big East's preseason coaches' poll and Council's injury is yet another setback for the team. In addition to his injury, Kris Dunn will miss the start of the year while he recovers from shoulder surgery, and Ricky Ledo was ruled ineligible for the 2012-13 season by the NCAA.
