Led by senior guard Pierre Jackson, the No. 16 Baylor Bears held off a stubborn Boston College squad and claimed an 87-74 win in their quarterfinal game at the Charleston Classic.

The Eagles led 43-41 at the half, but the Bears stayed within striking distance until a three-pointer by Jackson flipped the script and put the Bears up 54-52 with 14:14 to go in the second half. Another Jackson three extended the lead to 57-52, until the Eagles punched back with two threes of their own to go up 58-57 with 12:37 remaining.

A three by Boston College's Lonnie Jackson tied the game at 61 with 11:11 to play, but the Eagles went cold thereafter and the Bears put the game away.

Jackson led four Baylor starters in double figures with 31 points, shot 6-of-11 from behind the arc and added six assists. Freshman phenom Isaiah Austin chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds, and A.J Watson and Brady Heslip scored 10 points apiece for the Bears.

Forward Ryan Anderson paced the Eagles attack with 25 points and added six rebounds, while freshman guard Olivier Hanlan dropped 14 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss.

With the win, the Bears improve to 3-0 on the season and advance in the winners bracket to face the Colorado Buffaloes, who knocked off the Dayton Flyers, 67-57, in the early game. Tipoff is slated for 12:30 p.m. ET on Friday and the game will be televised on ESPNU.

Boston College (1-1) slides into the losers bracket and faces Dayton at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will also be televised on ESPNU.
