The No. 14 Missouri Tigers defeated the Nicholls State Colonels, 74-54, at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Mo., on Friday night. The Tigers struggled a bit with the Colonels early in the game before pulling away in the second half.

Four Mizzou players scored in double figures, led by forward Alex Oriakhi, who had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Earnest Ross made three of four three-point attempts on his way to a 16-point effort. The Tigers shot 7 of 12 from beyond the arc, and drained 23 of 32 free throw attempts.

Nicholls State guard Fred Hunter scored 22 points in the losing effort, shooting 7 of 11 from the field and 8 of 11 from the free throw line. The Colonels shot just 39 percent from the field in the loss.

The Tigers draw the Stanford Cardinal in their next game, which will take place at the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas on Thanksgiving.
