No. 2 Louisville vs. Miami (OH) final score: Cardinals trounce RedHawks, 80-39
Rick Pitino’s No. 2 Louisville Cardinals cruised to an easy 41-point win over the Miami RedHawks on Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinals shot 48.3 percent from the field as a team, compared to Miami’s woeful 29.8 percent, as Rick Pitino’s talented group drained 12-of-26 attempts from three-point range. Along with posting a game-high 23 points, the 6’0, 165-pound Smith was 5-of-7 from behind the arc and a perfect 2-for-2 from the foul line. Smith averaged 11.5 points per game under Pitino as a sophomore, but has emerged as the Cardinals’ top scoring option with a 21.3-point per game average after three games this season.
Continuing his impressive start to the year, Louisville senior point guard Peyton Siva also chipped in six points and four steals to go along with his game-high 10 assists. After committing five turnovers in Louisville opener against Manhattan, the lightning-quick Siva has managed to rack up an efficient 4.25 assist-to-turnover ratio over his last two contests. Now 3-0 on the young season, Pitino's Cardinals will next face off against Northern Iowa on Thursday.
