Following an 18-point loss to Florida earlier in the week, the Wisconsin Badgers bounced back with a thorough 73-40 win over the Cornell Big Red on Sunday evening in Madison.
No. 22 Wisconsin vs. Cornell final score: Badgers outmuscle Big Red, 73-40
Bo Ryan’s Wisconsin Badgers picked up their second victory of the season on Sunday, taking down the Cornell Big Red in a lopsided game.

Along with posting a plus-24 rebounding advantage, the Badgers held the Big Red to a meager 27.6 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from three-point land. Wisconsin guard Ben Brust led the way with 18 points and 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. The 6'1 junior also chipped in a game-high four steals and drained two of his team's six three-point field goals on the evening.
Despite only scoring 11 points against the Gators, Wisconsin senior big man Jared Berggren responded to record his second four-block performance of the season on Sunday. Berggren added 18 points and seven rebounds in the win, and was one of four Wisconsin players to finish the game with at least three offensive rebounds. While their Nov. 23 game with No. 15 Creighton and national player of the year contender Doug McDermott looms large, the Badgers will next square off with Presbyterian at home on Tuesday.
