The Texas Longhorns were shocked by the hosts of the Maui Invitational on Monday night, dropping an 86-73 game to the University of Chaminade Silverswords of Honolulu. While Chaminade has put up an upset or two over the years in the tournament, beating a talented Texas team is one of the bigger ones in the school's history.

Texas was missing Myck Kabongo, but they still clearly never went into the game expecting a blowout to a Division II school. The win upped Chaminade's all-time record at the Maui Invitational to 7-76, and it was the Silverswords' first win at the tournament since 2010.

Silverswords guard DeAndre Haskins was the best player on the floor, ending the night with 32 points and nine rebounds. Those 32 points included four three-point shots and 14 free throws -- the Silverswords hit 34 of 39 free throws in the win. They only had one other player score double digits, but his effort alone was enough to carry the team over the Longhorns.

With the surprising upset win, the Silverswords will go on to face either USC or Illinois on Tuesday in the next round of the tournament.
