The No. 22 Cincinnati Bearcats rode its first half trouncing of the Campbell Fighting Camels to a 91-72 victory on Tuesday night, despite nearly being outscored in the second half. The Bearcats were led by its backcourt of Cashmere Wright and JaQuon Parker, who combined to score 49 points in the win.

Campbell put up a solid effort vs. Cincinnati in the second half, but could not make up their first half deficit.


Wright led the team in scoring with 29 points on 8-14 shooting from the field (4-6 from three) and 8-10 from the free throw line, and he also picked up five steals on the night. Parker, meanwhile, scored 21 points on 7-10 shooting and added eight rebounds and two assists. The other Bearcat in double figures was Sean Kilpatrick, who put up 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Cincinnati's stellar guard play didn't find the Camels overmatched. Campbell was led in scoring by Darren White, who put up 22 points on 8-17 shooting. Fellow guards Trey Freeman and Darian Hooker chipped in with 17 points and 13 points, respectively. Instead, Campbell was dominated down low by Cincinnati -- the Bearcats out-rebounded them 46-24 and also swatted away nine shots.
Cincinnati will be off until Friday night, when they’ll take on the Iowa State Hawkeyes in Las Vegas as a part of the Global Sports Classic.
