No. 14 Creighton vs. Longwood final score: Bluejays flatten Lancers, 105-57
The No. 14 Creighton Bluejays rolled to a comfortable win over Longwood on Tuesday night at home.

Creighton picked up 17 points apiece from big man Gregory Echenique and forward Doug McDermott, as the Bluejays hardly had to break a sweat after taking a 29-point lead into the intermission. McDermott, one of college basketball's early frontrunners for national player of the year, finished 7-of-13 from the field with five rebounds and four turnovers in the win. After scoring 22.9 points per game as a sophomore, the 6'8, 225-pound McDermott's 2012-13 average now sits at 16.7 points per game.
Despite a game-high 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting, Longwood forward Jeylani Dublin's strong performance was not nearly enough on Tuesday night in Omaha. In addition to coughing the ball up a total of 19 times, Dublin's teammates combined to shoot just 29.8 percent from the field and 18.8 percent from three-point range in the defeat.
Now finished with the easy part of their non-conference schedule, the Bluejays will next suit up for a pivotal game with the Wisconsin Badgers on Friday at the Las Vegas Invitational.
