Michigan State freshman guard Gary Harris will be out 2-3 weeks with a left shoulder sprain, according to a tweet by ESPN's Andy Katz.
Michigan State’s Gary Harris out 2-3 weeks with shoulder sprain
Harris was the team’s leading scorer prior to his injury in the opening minute of their last game against the Boise St. Broncos.

Harris suffered the injury after running into a hard pick while playing defense on Tuesday night in a win over the Boise State Broncos. He only played 30 seconds before being taken out of the game.
Harris, who averages 12.0 points per game on 51.4 percent shooting, was the Spartans’ leading scorer prior to the last game. He was averaging 16 points coming into it after dropping 18 in the win over Kansas and another 19 in a win over Texas Southern.
The Spartans should be able to withstand his absence as he should return before some of their bigger games on the schedule approach. But missing him will be an adjustment. The Spartans will have to lean more on Keith Appling and Branden Dawson, who are averaging 15.5 and 12.5 points per game this season.
