The No. 9 North Carolina Tar Heels bounced back from a poor effort against Butler to dominate the Chaminade Silverswords 112-71 in the third-place game at the Maui Invitational.

North Carolina left Chaminade in the dust from the get-go, sprinting out to a 22-11 lead by the first TV timeout. The Tar Heels opened up a 62-33 lead at halftime and waltzed the rest of the way. North Carolina shot a blistering 62.3 percent from the field and 48.1 percent from three-point range.
James Michael McAdoo led five Tar Heels in double figures with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting. McAdoo also pulled down 10 rebounds, with four of those coming on the offensive end. Reggie Bullock and Leslie McDonald each added 17 points for North Carolina.
DeAndre Haskins led Chaminade with 22 points in the loss. The Silverswords shot just 38.5 percent from the field, although they did make 13 three-pointers.
