The Gonzaga Bulldogs probably thought they'd have an easy time with the Clemson Tigers, but they got a scare en route to their 57-49 win on Thanksgiving night in the quarterfinals of the Old Spice Classic in Orlando. Clemson kept the game tight for the first half hour, but the Zags were able to pull away late to make the margin of victory seem a little more comfortable than it really was.

The Clemson Tigers gave the Gonzaga Bulldogs a tough game, but ultimately didn’t have enough to pull off the upset. The Zags walked away with the win on Thanksgiving night, 57-49.


Elias Harris led Gonzaga with 13 points and nine rebounds. Kevin Pangos and Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 12 points and 10 points, respectively.
The Tigers were done in by their poor shooting. They shot just over 28 percent from the floor on the night, and just over 22 percent from long range. Milton Jennings went 2-11 shooting, and ended the game with only six points and five rebounds. K.J. McDaniels and Adonis Filer led the Tigers with 10 points.
The Zags will take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday night in one of the semifinal matchups. Davidson and West Virginia meet on Friday in the other semifinal game.
