The Knights scored the first 11 points of the second half to pull within seven, but the Gators regrouped and scored the next six points, and UCF would never get back to within single digits.
Kenny Boynton led the Gators in scoring with 24 points, including four three-pointers. Florida attempt 33 shots from beyond the arc in the game and made 10. Scottie Wilbekin added 17 points to go with eight assists, and Patric Young also hit double figures with 10 points.
The Knights had four players in double figures, led by forward Kasey Wilson, who scored 20 points. Tristan Spurlock poured in 14 points, while Isaiah Sykes led the team with nine rebounds.
