No. 19 Memphis vs. Northern Iowa final score: Tigers hold on for 7th place finish
The Memphis Tigers used a first-half rally en route to topping Northern Iowa 52-47 in the Battle 4 Atlantis seventh place game.

It was a slow start offensively for the Tigers, who managed only 17 points in the first 16 minutes of the contest. A key 10-0 run at the end of the first half cut the Panthers’ lead to four heading into the intermission.
Neither team had much success filling up the scoreboard with Northern Iowa struggling in the second half, scoring just 21 points. Normally an efficient 3-point shooting team this season (.377), the Panthers couldn’t find the stroke against Memphis, converting 7-of-27 from deep.
The Tigers held a big advantage on the boards, grabbing 40 rebounds to Northern Iowa's 26. Guard Chris Crawford was the high-man, pouring in 18 points on 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc, while recording 12 boards. For the Panthers, guard Deon Mitchell matched Crawford with 18 points and also dished out five assists in a losing effort.
With the win, Memphis snaps their two-game losing streak, while the Panthers drop their third-straight. Both teams return to the regular portion of their schedule next week.
