No. 24 Baylor vs. College of Charleston final score: Bears upset by Cougars, 63-59

The Baylor Bears fell to College of Charleston on Saturday night for the team’s second loss in its last three games

The No. 24 Baylor Bears suffered yet another early-season disappointing loss on Saturday night, falling to the unranked Charleston Cougars, 63-59, at the Ferrell Center in Waco.

Baylor trailed at halftime, 31-26, thanks to poor shooting from mid-range and distance. For the game, Baylor shot just 40.7 percent from the floor, including just 4-of-17 from three-point range, while its defense allowed Charleston to hit 50 percent of its long-distance shots, going 9-for-18 shots from beyond the arc.

Baylor pushed back in the second half, tying the game at 55 with 3:22 remaining in regulation. Willis Hall of Charleston then took over at the free throw line, extending the Cougars' lead to 61-55 before Baylor closed to within a possession with four quick points in the final minute. Charleston would hold on in the final seconds, however, closing out the 63-59 win.

The Bears have lost two of three after falling to Colorado on Nov. 16, and will now face the No. 8 Kentucky Wildcats on Dec. 1 at 12:30 p.m. ET.
