The No. 24 Baylor Bears suffered yet another early-season disappointing loss on Saturday night, falling to the unranked Charleston Cougars, 63-59, at the Ferrell Center in Waco.

The Baylor Bears fell to College of Charleston on Saturday night for the team’s second loss in its last three games


Baylor trailed at halftime, 31-26, thanks to poor shooting from mid-range and distance. For the game, Baylor shot just 40.7 percent from the floor, including just 4-of-17 from three-point range, while its defense allowed Charleston to hit 50 percent of its long-distance shots, going 9-for-18 shots from beyond the arc.
Baylor pushed back in the second half, tying the game at 55 with 3:22 remaining in regulation. Willis Hall of Charleston then took over at the free throw line, extending the Cougars' lead to 61-55 before Baylor closed to within a possession with four quick points in the final minute. Charleston would hold on in the final seconds, however, closing out the 63-59 win.
The Bears have lost two of three after falling to Colorado on Nov. 16, and will now face the No. 8 Kentucky Wildcats on Dec. 1 at 12:30 p.m. ET.
