The No. 9 Arizona Wildcats jumped out to an early lead against Northern Arizona on Wednesday and never looked back, cruising to a 93-50 victory.
No. 9 Arizona vs. Northern Arizona: Wildcats cruise to 4-0 start
The Arizona Wildcats were not tested in an 93-50 win against Northern Arizona.


Arizona scored the first nine points of the game and led wire-to-wire. Northern Arizona cut the Wildcats’ lead to 9-4, but that was as close as it would get. An 18-7 run put Arizona up, 27-11, and the Wildcats cruised from there. Arizona led, 39-26, at halftime.
Just as they did at the start of the first half, Arizona opened the second half on a big run. The Wildcats scored 14 of the first 18 points in the second half, extending their lead to 53-28. The Wildcats ended up outscoring Northern Arizona, 54-24, in the second half.
Mark Lyons and Solomon Hill led the way for Arizona. Lyons scored a game-high 18 points while Hill chipped in 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Dewayne Russell led Northern Arizona with 13 points.
