Brenton Williams injury: South Carolina guard hurts neck, taken off court on stretcher
Brenton Williams suffered an apparent neck injury against St. John’s and has been taken to a hospital near Jamaica, N.Y. for further evaluation.

Williams, who had 10 points off the bench for the Gamecocks as they trailed St. John's midway through the second half, was unable to leave the court after the collision. The official St. John's basketball Twitter feed reported that Williams suffered a neck injury and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. St. John's officials later reported that Williams had movement in his extremities.
According to Adam Zagoria of NBA.com and SNY.tv, Williams did not move for a few minutes before being taken off on the stretcher from the game at Carnesecca Arena in Jamaica, N.Y. on Thursday night.
Obekpa seemed to put most of his weight on top of Williams when the two collided, and drove Williams to the floor. Obekpa, who came off the bench for the Red Storm, has six points and four rebounds so far.
