Baylor star freshman Isaiah Austin suffered an ankle injury after scoring 22 points in just 17 minutes during his collegiate debut.

Austin suffered the injury - which the Baylor basketball Twitter account says is a sprain - when he jumped to score a basket and landed on an opponent’s foot. He finished the game with 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting with four rebounds and two blocks over 17 minutes of floor time.
A consensus five-star recruit, Austin is expected to be relied upon heavily this season as the 19th-ranked Bears look to replace NBA Draft picks Quincy Acy, Quincy Miller and Perry Jones. The 7’0 star has a surprisingly versatile skill set, which he showcased by burying a pair of 3-pointers on Friday night.
