No. 21 Minnesota got off to a sluggish start against the North Florida Ospreys on Saturday at Williams Arena, but dominance on the offensive glass helped the Golden Gophers grab an 87-59 victory.

The No. 21 Minnesota Golden Gophers dominated the offensive glass en route to an easy 87-59 victory over the North Florida Ospreys on Saturday.

Minnesota trailed by as many as eight in the first half before springing to life on both ends of the floor. The Gophers used a 15-0 run to turn a 21-15 deficit into a 30-21 lead and held a 37-27 advantage at halftime. Minnesota then blew the game open in the second half.
Minnesota struggled shooting for much of the game, but the Gophers grabbed a whopping 21 offensive rebounds. Rodney Williams had six of those offensive rebounds, and he also led the team with 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting. Austin Hollins had 12 points, six rebounds and four blocks, while Trevor Mbakwe added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench for the Gophers.
Minnesota moved to 8-1 on the season thanks to their fourth straight win.
Parker Smith led North Florida with 22 points, but he shot just 6 of 19 from the field. The Ospreys dropped to 3-5.
