No. 17 Cincinnati vs. Alabama final score: Bearcats win on last-second jumper, 58-56

After leading by as many as 13 in the first half, the Cincinnati Bearcats had to dig in deep to hold off an upstart Crimson Tide team for their seventh victory of the year.

US PRESSWIRE

Senior guard Cashmere Wright hit a fade-away baseline jumper as time expired to give the No. 17 Cincinnati Bearcats a 58-56 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Bearcats led by as many as 13 in the first half, but cold shooting in the second half allowed the young Crimson Tide team to battle back all the way into the waning seconds of the game.

Cincinnati shot 39 percent overall and only 33 percent in the second half. But the defense was locked in, only allowing the Crimson Tide to shoot close to 44 percent and forcing 16 turnovers.

It took every bit of fight for the Bearcats to remain undefeated on the year. Once Alabama battled back, the second half featured five ties and nine lead changes, with the final one counting as the clock expired.

Sean Kilpatrick and JaQuon Parker led the Bearcats with 13 points a piece. Alabama guard Trevor Lacey led all scorers with 16 points.
