No. 16 Missouri vs. Appalachian State final score: Tigers cruise to big victory, 72-56
After taking a big lead early, the Tigers led by at least 16 points for the entire second half.

In the first 1:30 of the game, the Tigers earned a 7-0 lead and quickly expanded upon that lead. With seven minutes remaining in the first half, the lead had ballooned to 31-11 and the deficit proved far too much for Appalachian State to make up.
The leading scorer in the game was Jay Canty of the Mountaineers, who dropped in 29 points as he attempted to lead ASU back in to contention. The Mountaineers never cut the lead to fewer than 16 points, although they outscored Missouri in the second half, 35-33.
Leading the way for the Tigers was senior Laurence Bowers with 23 points and five rebounds, as three other players on the team finished with double-digit scoring.
Missouri will next host Southeast Missouri State on Tuesday, while Appalachian State will take a week off before facing Western Carolina on Saturday.
