No. 11 Creighton vs. Saint Joseph’s final score: Bluejays dominate in 80-51 win
The Creighton Bluejays turned a hot start into a dominating victory on Saturday night.


Doug McDermott led the Bluejays with 23 points, scoring 18 points in just 12 minutes of play in the first half. Creighton rode the fast start to a 47-20 lead at the half and forced 10 turnovers while shooting nearly 57 percent from the floor.
McDermott was 5-of-7 from three-point range, with Gregory Echenique adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Grant Gibbs had 9 assists on the night, as 14 players total contributed on the scoreboard for Creighton in the win.
Saint Joseph's dropped to 4-2 on the season with the loss, with only guard Langston Galloway getting into double digits with 10 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds on the night. The Hawks shot just 37.7 percent from the floor and were just 7-of-28 from long distance in the game.
The 7-1 Bluejays will face Nebraska on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. ET.
