Eleven players scored for the Hoyas on Monday night, as No. 15 Georgetown rolled past the Longwood Lancers, 89-53.

No. 15 Georgetown was too much both offensively and defensively for the Longwood Lancers on Monday night, as they rolled to victory, 89-53.


Otto Porter led the way for Georgetown, scoring an efficient 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting and adding three rebounds, four assists and four steals as well. Markel Starks and Nate Lubick also pitched in with significant contributions, with Starks scoring 17 points and Lubick picking up eight assists.
Defense was a strength for Georgetown as they forced the Lancers into 25 turnovers compared to only 10 assists. It marks the fifth consecutive games for the Hoyas where they held their opponent under 53 points.
Jeylani Dublin tallied 11 points and six rebounds to lead the Lancers offense, while Michael Kessens added 10 points of his own. The loss drops Longwood to 2-7 on the season.
Georgetown moves to 8-1 following the win. Their next contest comes Saturday, Dec. 15 at home against Western Carolina.
