No. 17 New Mexico vs. New Mexico State: Lobos top Aggies in 73-58 win

Behind Kendall Williams' impressive performance, No. 17 New Mexico defeated the New Mexico State Aggies 73-58 on Saturday.

New Mexico entered halftime with a 39-32 lead and didn’t slow down as the team continued to put pressure on the Aggies with their pressure defense. The Aggies shot less than 33 percent from the floor while having 11 of their shots swatted by the Lobos.

While it was Williams who dominated in the Lobos in the victory with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, it was a collective win for New Mexico as three other players also scored in double digits. Chad Adams chipped in with 13 points and 10 boards while Alex Kirk scored 15, collected six rebounds and blocked five shots by himself.

With the win, the Lobos remained undefeated on the young season and improved to 11-0 while the Aggies fell to an even 5-5 with the road loss.
