The No. 22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish remained undefeated at home with a 74-62 win against IPFW on Monday. Notre Dame is now 10-1 on the season, including 8-0 at home.

No. 22 Notre Dame improved to 10-1 with a 74-62 win against IPFW on Monday.


After a bit of a sluggish start, the Fighting Irish opened a double-digit lead with a 14-4 run midway through the first half. Notre Dame kept the pressure on and led 40-28 at halftime. IPFW was never able to get within single digits in the second half as Notre Dame slowly increased its lead.
The Fighting Irish were well balanced on offense with Pat Connaughton, Jack Cooley and Scott Martin all scoring in double figures. Connaughton led the way for Notre Dame with 18 points. He made 7-of-9 shots from the field and also finished with five rebounds and five assists. Cooley finished with 14 points and seven rebounds while Martin scored 13 points to go along with seven rebounds.
Note Dame shot well from the field, making 51.8 percent of their field goal attempts.
