Jack Cooley led four Irish players in double figures with 14 points and 13 rebounds, as No. 22 Notre Dame blew out Kennesaw State, 85-57, Wednesday night in South Bend, Ind.

Leading by just six at the break, Notre Dame clobbered Kennesaw State in the second half en route to a convincing 85-57 victory.


The Fighting Irish led by just six at halftime, but started the second half on a 12-2 run to take control. With the win, Notre Dame improves to 9-0 at home and 11-1 overall.
Guard Eric Atkins had nine points and dished out 13 assists for Notre Dame. The team had 21 total assists on 32 made baskets, shooting 61.5 percent total from the field.
Jerian Grant had 14 points off the bench on 5-of-10 shooting.
Kennesaw State, which fell to 1-9, was led by 16 points from forward Aaron Anderson. He also had a team-high six rebounds. It was the boards, however, that proved to be the major problem for the Owls. Notre Dame dominated on the glass, 32-15.
Notre Dame has just one more tune-up before conference play begins in January. The Irish host Niagara on Friday, then welcome Seton Hall to South Bend on Jan. 5. Kennesaw State visits IPFW on Saturday.
