The No. 23 North Carolina headed to Austin hoping to find repeat success against a Longhorns squad that they blew out last season. Texas had other plans on Wednesday night, upsetting the Tar Heels, 85-67.
No. 23 North Carolina vs. Texas: Longhorns upset Tar Heels, 85-67
The Longhorns jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in their upset of the No. 23 Tar Heels on Wednesday night.

Texas came out of the gates strong, jumping out to an 8-0 lead and never looking back.
The Tar Heels pulled to within four points of the Longhorns with 7:52 to go in the second half following a jumper by Reggie Bullock, but Texas pulled away down the stretch to pull off the upset.
Guard Sheldon McClellan led a balanced attack for Texas, scoring 18 points. Julien Lewis and Jonathan Holmes added 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Bullock paced the Tar Heels with 18 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
Texas' win is a bright spot on an otherwise dark day for the basketball program, as it was reported that guard Myck Kabongo would be suspended for the season by the NCAA, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
The loss will likely drop North Carolina out of the Top 25.
