No. 21 UNLV vs. Northern Iowa final score: Anthony Bennett leads Runnin’ Rebels to easy win
No. 21 UNLV rode a big first half to a 73-59 win against Northern Iowa.

While the Runnin’ Rebels went cold in the second half, their dominating first half was enough to carry them to the victory. UNLV never trailed in the game and used a 13-4 run to build a double-digit lead. The Runnin’ Rebels would extend that lead over the rest of the first half and took a 43-22 lead into halftime. UTEP cut the lead to 12 late in the second half but didn’t get any closer.
Anthony Bennett led the way for UNLV, finishing with a game-high 20 points to go along with 12 rebounds. Bennett made 7 of 12 shots from the floor, including 2 of 4 from three-point range. Khem Birch scored 11 points off the bench for UNLV.
A UNLV cold spell in the second half gave Northern Iowa an opportunity to get back in the game, but the Panthers struggled offensively as well. Northern Iowa made just 33.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the game.
