The Wyoming Cowboys put together a strong second half to upset the No. 19 Colorado Buffaloes, 76-69.

Leonard Washington and the Cowboys used a big second half to upset No. 19 Colorado.


Wyoming and Colorado kept the game close in the first half, but the Cowboys opened things up in the second. While the sides combined to score 54 points in the first half, Wyoming notched 50 points after halftime.
The Cowboys were led by forward Leonard Washington, who scored 22 points while also contributing seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks. Josh Adams (12), Derrious Gilmore (12), Luke Martinez (13) and Larry Nance Jr. (14) each finished with double-digit scoring efforts.
Guard Spencer Dinwiddie and forward Andre Roberson paced the Buffaloes. Dinwiddie scored 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field while adding six rebounds and four assists. Roberson scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Colorado.
Wyoming will attempt to keep their perfect season alive Tuesday night when they travel to face the Illinois State Redbirds. Colorado’s next match-up is home Wednesday night against the Colorado State Rams.
