No. 22 Notre Dame vs. Niagara final score: Jack Cooley dominates in 89-67 Irish win

Jack Cooley had 22 points and 15 rebounds for Notre Dame in a win over Niagara Friday.

Jack Cooley scored 22 points with 15 rebounds as the No. 22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (12-1) beat Niagara (5-7), 89-67, on Friday.

Cooley shot 8 for 11 from the field and also had three assists for the Irish. He grabbed three of Notre Dame’s four offensive rebounds.

Although Cooley's play was strong, Notre Dame shot 63 percent as a team and 8 for 16 from three-point range. Cameron Biedscheid scored 15 points and made all four of his shots (all three-pointers). Eric Atkins had 14 points, two rebounds and two assists. Jerian Grant had 13 points, eight assists and three rebounds.

Notre Dame's defense helped the Irish pull away in the second half. Niagara shot just 37 percent from the game. Antoine Mason had 17 points and six rebounds (6 for 22 shooting) and Marvin Jordan and Juan'ya Green each scored 11 points, although Green was just 4 for 16 from the field.

Notre Dame led, 42-34, at halftime.
