The No. 12 Missouri Tigers earned a fourth consecutive victory over the No. 10 Illinois Fighting Illini in the Braggin' Rights series with an 82-73 win at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

Missouri has won the last four matchups against Illinois in the Braggin’ Rights series.


Illinois battled back from a 41-35 halftime deficit to take over the lead in the second half, but a 9-0 run in favor of the Tigers turned a 64-61 deficit into a 70-64 lead with fewer than four minutes remaining. While the Illini hit three three-pointers to keep the game close in the final minutes, Missouri held on to the lead for the remainder of the game to earn the victory.
Laurence Bowers led the way for the Tigers with 23 points and nine rebounds, while point guard Phil Pressey recorded 12 points and 12 assists, despite making just 3-of-19 field goals. Brandon Paul led Illinois with 23 points and seven rebounds.
Despite the victory, Illinois still leads the Braggin’ Rights series 20-12, although they haven’t earned a victory since a 75-59 win in 2008.
